RE: How Many nights or weekends............

You folks are lucky. Im married to a Holiday Inn camper. We only went out a couple of times this year and my tow vehicle now needs a tranny. I will buy a new one in spring. Im trying to decide which to give up TT or DW Im gonna miss her. But all kidding aside. Her job stinks she cant get 2 days off in a row so we dont have any time to go untill winter and it stinks in New York no matter what time of year it is and she wont move out of this lousy state strike 2. One more and Im outaa here.

RE: Bed tax on my bed?

Folks you can complain all you want but the fact remains Clear as a bell. Our goverment is out of control. Its supposed to be by the people and for the people and what we have is by the goverment for the goverment. Read your constitution folks. Then you will see why our Goverment wants to abolish it.
Yep our goverment is the fastest growing around and we get to pay for it. Oh and by the way if you really want to see tax move to New York we can tell you about taxs.

Short Season

:( Sad day for me. I have to park Rv for season. The tranny is going in
tow vehicle it has served me well for several years. It was 3/4 ton van .I want to jump to Dodge 3500. I dont think a 1 ton will be that much more to run in respect to fuel mileage. But it doesnt matter I
cannot afford one until spring. I hope the rest of you folks have a good season anyway. We are going to Williamsburg this fall looks like it has to be a hotel man that stinks. Well at least I can read the forum and watch tv till spring. ENjoy your season.

Now I seen everything

:h I was on my way home and looked over in a car dealers lot to see what I can only say I saw on cartoons until today. I had to pull over
to get a closer look. What I saw was a 30 foot travel trailer hooked to a PT cruiser, thats not all folks as I stood there in disbelief the
crafty salesman was telling the driver who was distraught because the front wheels were off the ground. Not to worry you can get distibution
bars that will even out the weight so the pt cruiser could easily tow the 7500 pound trailer.:R. I couldnt keep my mouth shut anymore. After I explained to those poor folks That the car salesman was an idiot to say the least I was escorted off the premises in a less than friendly manner. I cant believe anybody would try to pull that off. I had to get back to work unfortunateley I did not have my camera cause you would have to see it to believe it. I truly hope those folks listend to what I told them or we will definiteley have unhappy campers.

We just got back from State park had a wonderful time. I did notice fewer campers out there but I assume its the cost of driving I did follow everyones advise and slowed to 55 I was amazed at the differece
it made fuel useage was way down. :) I hope for those of you that got out had as much fun as we did. I also got to look inside a teardrop
I was impressed they are easy to tow as well according to the owners who were using mini-van for tow veh. Till next time happy camping.

RE: Brakes not Working; Need Help

Make sure your controller is grounded using multi-meter. Then make sure controller is getting full power from battery. When you have established controller is getting good power/ground then go to connector at rear of tow vehicle and check power/ground.If you have good power and and ground then goto mags. But from what you have said Im going to take a wild guess and say your mags are probably ruined. Good luck I hope this helps.

RE: Alaska

We just returned from Alaska we couldnt go during summer months due to employment issues. We went over easter and I can tell you everything Alaska is geared toward summer months. Even though it was early April the weather was not a factor and it was beautiful. You dont say what your intrests are but I
would suggest end of August. The weather should be great. But beware the bugs
are horrendous I know this because we have family in Wasilla and we talk almost
daily on messenger.SO go its a trip to die for I couldnt start to tell you how
beautiful it is. The cruise ships cant do it justice. So no matter go have the trip of a lifetime you will love it we did.

RE: What to do on a rainy Saturday that you're not camping?

Well the weather has been very cold in New Yuk we even had snow today the end of May go figure. The only thing we could do the last couple of weekends is sit inside and watch the rain the snow and the crappy weather. Maybe next weekend it will get above freezing so we can get out.I hope everybody else is enjoying the weekends happy camping hope to join you soon.

RE: Higher gas price, less travel?

As painful as it is this is a good thing because I firmly believe this country
will finally come up with a better fuel. Then we wont need opec or the saudis or Iraq and then we can be done with them once and for all maybe they will be dependant on us for fuel. It would be awsome to have to pay 25 cents per gallon again. I doubt it will be that cheap but who knows.

Just waite

:( If you think its bad now I was told that in the next 2 years that
gas will hit 10 dollars a gallon. If we dont come up with an alternate fuel soon we will all be walking to work. Everyone is driving smaller cars but until we come up with an alternate fuel hold
on to your wallets.

RE: It's Official - It finally hit $4.00 a gallon

The only thing is, people dont know when to boycott. You need everyone to not buy gas for one 2 day period every month. Then you will get there attention. But they most likely would cut production not lower prices. We need a national gas
out day and everybody needs to know about it. They tried to do it here but not enough people knew about it.I did hear the price of a gallon could be as high as 10 dollars in 2 years. I couldnt even get enough to get to work anymore.
